Over 200 people ran on the beach last weekend for Jog for Jugs on the Gold Coast. The event that raises money and awareness for breast cancer research started on the Gold Coast three years ago. Now the event is held in five locations around Australia.
At the weekend I met Malcolm Wells who is a National Breast Cancer Foundation Ambassador. Malcolm has a very personal connection to breast cancer. After a number of generations of family members having the disease, his mum passed away at age 42 having living with cancer for 12 years.
“So as a husband and as a brother of a sister and a father of a daughter, obviously I’m quite passionate around raising money not only for awareness but looking for that magical cure,” he says.
