Not only is Amelia putting brush to board for our charity jog in QLD she has also painted a piece for the WA event. Because we can’t have the Amelia everywhere around the country she has kindly created some beautiful work on canvas for our Scarborough joggers. This artwork will also be auctioned after the WA jog.
Title: Playful Souls
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
Artist: MealieArt 2013
Comment: Dolphins have a soul connection with humans. We can feel such joy by just catching a glimpse of them in the ocean. Seeing them play together helps us remember our own inner child and how important it is to take care of ourselves and the people we love. This artwork for me was a joy to create as it will help raise money for a fabulous cause. My family has been affected by cancer in many ways but the strength and support that all our families and friends share can make us aware of the importance of being appreciative of the things and people we have in our lives.

Vision Personal Training (VPT) Burleigh Heads has been raising community spirit and money for Jog for Jugs 2013 on behalf of the National Breast Cancer Foundation and Breast Cancer Network Australia.
From 8am Saturday, August 24 to 8am Sunday, August 25 VPT treadmills ran non-stop. The morning of the 24-Hour Treadmill Challenge started with a tasty brekky at the VPT studio at 3/91 West Burleigh Rd, Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, QLD. There was live music, dancing and drinks from 6pm and a whole lot of tread milling well into the early hours when the Gold Coast was still wide awake. There was also a heap of raffles and awesome prizes won.
Thank you Jeff, Damien and Emily for your creativity (that poster is extraordinarily eye catching and the Jog for Jugs model, you look just so gorgeous). Thank you also for your support and enthusiasm and to everyone who participated in the 24-hour Treadmill Challenge, thank you for your commitment, interest and unbelievable generosity.
The total raised from the 2013 24-Hour Treadmill Challenge (and the Train The Trainer auction) has been truly overwhelming and the photos below show just how much fun it was to burn that rubber belt; no matter what the hour.
